Lance has led teams of coaches and managers in building cross-functional, self-organizing teams that deliver customer outcomes efficiently and predictably. He emphasizes the discipline required to ship a truly usable product , combining the Scrum framework with strong agile engineering practices and a refusal to confuse motion with progress.

A passionate evangelist for Scrum, Lance founded the thriving DFW Scrum User Group, providing a platform for professional networking and a community hub for agile practitioners across North Texas. His engagement with several authors of the Agile Manifesto has deeply influenced his pragmatic approach to organizational transformations.

In his most recent work, Lance has focused on helping product teams operate in AI-augmented environments without losing the empirical discipline that makes Scrum effective. He teaches Product Owners how to use AI as a force multiplier for backlog drafting, stakeholder communication, and roadmap planning, while protecting the human judgment that determines whether a product is actually worth building.

The goal is teams that move faster without making faster mistakes.
