Certified Scrum Product Owner®

Product owners play a critical role on a Scrum team, working like small business owners for the future of the product, yet many product owners have been thrown into the role with no formal training. By becoming a Certified Product Owner®, you’ll learn the foundational skills necessary to succeed in this role.

Whether you’re already a product owner, or you’re hope to become one, this rewarding role is one that’s often underserved in companies, so more and more Certified Product Owners® are needed to keep up with the numerous companies wanting qualified people who understand products, customer needs and the Scrum framework.

Build Trust, Transparency & Alignment with Stakeholders

Many product owners find themselves always saying yes to stakeholder requests and then having to push the team to work at an unsustainable pace.

By learning how to work with your stakeholders and team to establish a clear product vision and goals, you’ll gain trust and respect with your senior leadership team, as well as an effective partnership with the Scrum team.

We’ll walk you through several collaborative techniques you can try with your stakeholders and team to build trust, transparency and alignment around product development timelines.

Be the Leader Your Scrum Team Needs

Many product owners find themselves either too busy working on the business to support the Scrum team, or too in the weeds with the team to be forward-thinking about the product.

As a Certified Scrum Product Owner®, you’ll learn where to focus your time and efforts to ensure that your product and team are successful.

As a Certified Scrum Product Owner®, You’ll Be Able To:

  • Deeply understand the role and responsibilities of a product owner.

Working on a Scrum Team (Team Based Training)

The agile Scrum development process continues to gain popularity across a wide variety of businesses and products. Educating the entire team(s) involved has a profound effect on kick-starting the process and resolving challenges that can be discovered within the course itself.

This two-day course, provides teams with the full context of what it means to be agile and how we can get there with the use of a core framework called Scrum. Many teams have individuals with experiences that are far and wide in the agile space; diluting a common understanding for your organization.

This course is designed to give teams a hands-on understanding of current agile concepts and how implementing the Scrum framework can actually accelerate their ability to ship software as frequently as the business desires. With the liberal use of exercises and discussions, team members learn why Scrum's seemingly simple processes can have a profound effect on the organization.

Teams will also learn practical advice they can leverage all the way from the trenches to the Executive offices. We focus on working with core Scrum techniques and activities; including the product backlog, sprint backlog, metrics, daily scrum meetings, sprint planning meeting, and burn-down charts.
